There are a lot of folks who engage in one or more of our many ministries of evangelism. These “ministers” include greeters, hosts at our weekly coffee hours, members of the Welcome Commission, participants in our Open Gate dinners, etc.
Many of those who perform this ministry are organized and strive to engage their tasks in a structured way – greeters, for example, who are assigned according to a schedule and are given written instructions about what to do. Other members of the congregation exercise their ministry in ways that are spontaneous – a smile and a casual word of welcome … or simply by wearing their nametag through coffee hour.
Our “Music at St. Mark’s” series opens the doors of our church to a much wider community who sees St. Mark’s as the home of a very high standard of musical excellence. In recent years, special performances included the Worcester Cathedral Men and Boys Choirs and the Tudor Choir of Seattle, unparalleled performance in the whole of the Rogue Valley. The Concert for New Year’s Eve, featuring talent from our own members (and others), is a seasonal favorite, often with a standing room only attendance.
