Teresa of Avila, from 16th century Spain, is famously remembered for a quote which begins, “Christ has no body now on earth but yours, no feet but yours, no hands but yours …”
The people of St. Mark’s live those words out, both through the formal projects and activities of our congregation and the countless other ministries of our individual members.
In recent years, we have begun a wonderful partnership with the Family Nurturing Center, changing the lives of some of the most at-risk families in our community. In 2009, we opened up a community garden, changing the tenor of our neighborhood.
Our individual and corporate efforts extend across the globe – e.g., caring for children in both body and soul, supporting relief and rebuilding efforts (including the United Thank Offering and support for Episcopal Relief and Development).
