What to Expect

Welcome to St. Mark's Parish,
the Episcopal Church in Medford, Oregon!

When you visit our church for the first time, it is likely to be either for Sunday morning worship or one of our many mid-week outreach or social events. If you come during the week, expect a very low-key, informal, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are a client of our Food Pantry, interested in participating in our weekly potluck and book group, or here for another program or event, you are welcome here!

St. Mark's Parish is a member of the Episcopal Church of Western Oregon, based out of Portland, Oregon. While our Parish has been a cornerstone of the Rogue Valley since 1889 our ministry and worship focuses on what lies ahead in our church, community, and world. We invite you to join us as a sanctuary from the changes and chances of the world.

If you visit us on Sunday morning, our regular service of the Eucharist (otherwise known as Communion) is at 10 am. Our worship is a fairly traditional service of Holy Eucharist from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and Music from a variety of sources. All those who are baptized are welcome to receive both the bread and the wine. If you are not baptized, you are welcome to receive a blessing and encouraged to see the Rector about being baptized.

Most of all, St. Mark's seeks to combine a more formal, liturgical worship style with a laid-back and informal welcome and way of being. Whoever you are and wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here!

PLEASE NOTE: While the COVID-19 pandemic has become endemic, masks are not required for worship but are advised for people who are immune compromised. Masks are available at the door. If you feel ill, please remain at home and stream the service from our YouTube channel. Thank you for helping to keep yourself and our congregation safe!
